There is a great story on the CBS Boston website about Colby’s Breakfast & Lunch in Portsmouth, NH.  They have put up a sign banning all candidates. And they do not want reporters talking to their clientele.

The U.S. unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 8.5 percent last month as job creation was more robust than expected, providing continued signs that the nation’s labor market is improving gradually.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum shrugged off reports late Thursday that the vote count from Iowa’s caucuses might be wrong, saying the errors appear not to change the fact that he and Mitt Romney were nearly tied.

The mainstream media has tried all year to push the idea of Jon Huntsman as the Republican Nominee. They have delighted in his moderate opinions which include his support of civil unions, support for renewable energy, cap greenhouse gas pollutions via Congress, no water-boarding (except for his fellow Republican candidates) and more. They have pushed his three daughters on us over and over (and over and over and over), trying to make us feel some kind of affection for this family.  Just like Republicans did not delight in Chelsea Clinton and Amy Carter, we do not delight in light-hearted stories about the three Huntsman girls (who are all adults, FYI). Plus, Meghan McCain was not exactly endeared by Republicans for the same reason.
